Worship Collaboration

Worship Collaboration

Vanessa and I have served in worship ministries for over 40 years combined as members of worship groups, volunteer leaders, and serving on ministry staff. We would love to help connect our expertise and experience to your ministries to support your mission to your community. As a ministry couple, we value learning, teaching, and growing a local ministry team.

Ministry Verses

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. (Col. 3:16, ESV)

'“[T]o equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ” (Eph 4:12, ESV)

How can we be Barnabas to your ministry?

God has called and equipped us to be an encouragement to many churches’ worship ministries. God has uniquely placed us together and has developed us through various ministries and denominations to help us speak into the life of everyone’s ministry. Together we have been a part of 12 total denominations and love seeing how God is at work on a larger scale. We have served on praise teams in contemporary settings as well as served and led worship teams in traditional settings. I (Jeff) also served for around five years on a denominational level starting and assisting leaders in developing worship ministry programs throughout the state of Texas and Pennsylvania.

Three main areas of assistance stick out to us given our experience in worship ministry:

Worship Leader Break

How long has it been since your worship leader has had a break from the stage? When was the last time your worship leader felt that they could confidently get away for a much-needed vacation, without being called to troubleshoot an issue at church? For many ministries becoming a worship leader, pastor, or lead volunteer is a life sentence without the hope of getting away to rejuvenate. We would love to partner with your ministry and give your worship leader a much-needed break.

Two ways we can partner with your team:

  1. Guest worship leaders - Give your worship ministry workers a break and let our duet Crabtree Revival lead in worship for a weekend.

  2. Substitute Worship Leaders - Keep your worship team engaged on Sunday. We would love to come alongside your existing worship arts team and help lead the work together! You can think of this option as a substitute teacher but for worship leaders. Your leader will help prepare music and his team for us to come lead rehearsals and worship. It is the next best thing to having your leader with you on a Sunday morning.

    • Quick Note - given that my wife works a full-time job this might mean that we will need to set up an alternative weekly rehearsal before Sunday Morning. Or if travel is not a problem, I can lead the normal rehearsal schedule and my wife will join in on Sunday morning.

Worship Revival Weekend

Many ministries serving in worship arts seldom, if ever, get opportunities to join together in praising God without the pressure of a Sunday Morning service. As a worship minister, I found that having an intensive weekend together with an outside guest helped inject the life and renewal our ministry needed to become more united and passionate in our worship. With the help of your current worship leader, we will craft a weekend of worship designed to reignite your ministry.

This could include the following:

  • Time of worship together led by Crabtree Revival

  • Dedicated time to work on our craft

    • Breakout sessions working with vocalists, rhythm section, orchestra, choir, etc.

  • Time working on spirit and team building!

    • The value of getting a worship arts ministry spiritually aligned has untold benefits for years. We would love to help guide your leader and team in a time of spiritual and ministry alignment through scripture, prayer, unfolding what worship means, and how to apply biblical principles in today’s ministry setting.

  • Vision casting

    • Where does God what to take your ministry?

    • What is possible to start and develop within arts in your community?

    • What areas should you say ‘no’ to in your ministry?

Not all options are listed, the sky is the limit with how we individually craft your Worship Revival Weekend.

Technical Assistance

It is impossible to lead worship from the stage and make sure that technical issues in the back of the house are getting fixed. This might be the number one reason for worship leader burnout! Worship leaders simply cannot duplicate themselves to fix all the problems needed. God has blessed us with the knowledge and skills to help troubleshoot technology problems (the ones you know about, and the ones you didn’t know you had) and guide your tech ministries. We would love to partner with you for a tech-specific weekend where we work with your tech team on Saturday then join your ministry on a Sunday from the back of the house implementing learned knowledge. I (Vanessa) have worked as a communications director for a church including investment in display technology - I also work in IT. Jeff has experience running sound and recording. Together we can tackle your a/v hurdles and provide encouragement and training to those who run the systems each weekend.

Custom Arrangements

Finding music that matches your current ensemble can be a challenge. I have been creating custom arrangements for years to match the skill level of the ensembles I have founded. Most of my work is for brass ensembles or small church orchestras. I specialize in random or strange instrumentation. I would love to help you with your next project or venture.

Contact me for pricing specific to your project and budget.

As a former worship minister, I know that the going rate is a step for most midsized and smaller congregations. I have ministry discounts that will meet your budgetary needs if you message me.
